Description

Epsom salt is a component of seawater, but it significantly differs from sea salt in its composition. It contains high amounts of magnesium, sulfur, and oxygen, and is very bitter, making it completely unsuitable for culinary use. However, its healing properties are renowned.

Effects and Usage

Epsom salt has detoxifying, exfoliating, cleansing, regenerating, and anti-inflammatory effects. A bath in Epsom salt helps with problematic skin, relieves sore muscles, provides missing magnesium, and removes toxins and heavy metals from the body. It aids in alleviating headaches, reducing stress, and contributes to the healing of bruises. The salt can dehydrate the body, so always drink plenty of water before your bath. You can also use Epsom salt as a scrub to remove dead skin cells and help unclog pores.
