Description
Himalayan salt is mined in salt mines in Pakistan, where it was discovered around 326 BC. It contains sodium chloride, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, copper, chlorine, and lead. Its pink color is due to a higher concentration of iron oxide. Himalayan salt is used in the food industry to season food and, due to its positive effects on the skin, also in cosmetics.
Effects and Usage
Himalayan salt has toning, cleansing, and antiseptic properties. It is suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. It works wonderfully as a scrub, gently removing dead skin cells, or as part of baths. It stimulates blood circulation and keeps the skin supple and elastic. It helps in the prevention and treatment of skin diseases and alleviates muscle and joint pain.
