Description

Lemon is the fruit of the evergreen shrub or tree of the common lemon tree, which originates from Southeast Asia. Today, it is primarily cultivated in the subtropical zone. Lemons contain citric acid, vitamin C, vitamin B2, iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, potassium, bioflavonoids, carotenoids, proteins, organic acids, pectin, limonene, and essential oils. The essential oil is extracted from the lemon peel, which has a fresh, clean aroma.

Effects and Uses

Essential lemon oil has anti-inflammatory, antifungal, anti-allergenic, and whitening properties. It is suitable for oily and problematic skin, where it removes excess sebum and helps treat acne symptoms. In hair care, it adds shine to the hair and combats dandruff and hair loss. You will often find it in products for cellulite or stretch marks and scars, where it helps to lighten them.

In aromatherapy, it supports concentration, refreshes, and stimulates the mind.
