Pumice

Description

Pumice is an igneous rock of highly porous structure and completely natural origin. It forms from the solidification of boiling lava and subsequent interaction with water. It is very strong, yet extremely lightweight due to the air bubbles, and rich in minerals. It can be white, light gray, or almost black in color.

Effects and Uses

Pumice is most commonly used today as a natural exfoliating agent to remove dead skin cells from the entire body. It is very effective yet gentle on the skin. It helps to soften hard heels and joints without scratching them. In powdered form, it is often a very functional ingredient in exfoliating creams or masks.
