Sustainability is a big topic at Almara Soap. Together, we will take a look inside our large family and show you what we do for the happiness of the planet! We must also note that you take care of the planet simply by supporting us and indulging in pure natural products. :)

Raw Materials and Ingredients

The foundation of our products consists mainly of oils, butters, waxes, and herbs. We source our ingredients primarily from Czech suppliers, and only if we cannot find the ingredients with the desired properties and purity do we look elsewhere. However, we always strive for the highest quality and sustainability. A fundamental factor for us is that every raw material is not tested on animals and has an ethical origin.

Most of our oils are sourced from Czech companies that press them themselves from seeds or nuts. Functional oils are cold-pressed or of organic quality. We only use ethically sourced palm oil with RSPO certification (you can find more about it in the article HERE). Our shea butter is of organic quality, as are most of our other raw materials and spices, which are also food items.

The most beautiful scents in our products are provided by 100% essential oils, from which we intentionally do not select the rare ones, as their extraction burdens the environment. Fancy soaps contain fragrances that are always specially designed for use in soaps and cosmetics, are not tested on animals, and do not harm the skin or nature. In the INCI, we always list the allergens that fragrances and essential oils naturally contain.

The most colorful soaps are created thanks to mineral powders. For so-called micas, its origin is also very important due to the potential use of child labor in its extraction. We source ours from European sources and it is cruelty and child labor free. In a word, “Oh la la,” which is even the name of one of our micas. :)

Ecology

We are diligently working to leave the smallest ecological footprint possible behind us. In our products, you will not find harmful substances such as foaming agents, synthetic dyes, or preservatives, which would contaminate the environment upon use. With our natural collection soaps, you can bathe anywhere and anytime without guilt! For example, in a mountain stream with the most beautiful view, and the best part is that you won't harm or disrupt the cycle of nature.

Zerowaste and Upcycle

We strive to source most raw materials in returnable packaging or to utilize them otherwise in the production and packaging process. During production, we absolutely minimize waste or, even better - we create none. We save the planet during the production process, and then you save it in your bathrooms by using zero-waste products.

You can beautifully witness the whole process when you receive a package from Almara Soap. We express our love for nature through ethical and gentle packaging. Cosmetic products come in their own glass container with a paper label, and we attach product labels with jute twine. You can find other practical uses for the jars in your home. Each soap has its own recycled pouch to protect it from external influences and ensure it arrives safely to your shower or bath.

We use paper adhesive tapes and paper boxes to send you goods, filling them with SizzlePak natur, which is made from recycled material and is also 100% recyclable. We extensively use the green filling Flo-pak Natural, which is made from corn starch, contains no freons or chlorine, does not pollute groundwater, and can quickly disappear by being submerged in water or buried in the ground (see reels on Instagram). Of course, it is better to reuse the filling and send it on. Yes! If you taste it, nothing will happen to you, but we do not recommend it as lunch. :)

If you encounter bubble wrap in the packages, it likely arrived from suppliers. Everything that our raw materials arrive in will be reused in packaging. The found wrap in the packages can also be reused by you! Essentially, it’s like ecological silent mail. So... send it on! :)

Occasionally, we receive read newspapers and magazines, so you correctly guess that we also pack goods in read print materials. We utilize everything that is eco-friendly for packaging, and we are confident that it ensures a safe journey for our products to you.
