Description

Tamanu oil is obtained by pressing the seeds of the fruit of the evergreen tropical tree Calophyllum inophyllum. It contains oleic, linoleic, palmitic, and stearic acids, polyphenols, and vitamin E. Tamanu oil has a thicker consistency, dark green color, and a specific strong scent. It becomes liquid at temperatures around 20 °C, absorbs quickly, and does not leave an oily film.

Effects and Use

Tamanu oil has regenerative, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antimicrobial, soothing, and healing properties. It is excellent for caring for problematic and damaged skin affected by acne, fungi, psoriasis, dermatitis, cracks, or other minor injuries. It improves blood circulation in the skin, softens, calms, and helps heal damaged tissues. It acts against signs of aging. It is recommended for external use only and in combination with other oils.
