The magic of hydrosols. Or floral waters?
Everyone is singing their praises. And why wouldn't they? They will be your faithful companion, not just during tropical days! Let's take a closer look at the lid of this little miracle, which can be beneficial even beyond cosmetic care.

What is a hydrosol?
Hydrosols, floral waters, or both? The precise term is "hydrosol," as the production utilizes not only flowers but also other parts of the plant (stems with leaves, bark, resin, fruits, etc.). The term floral water is only applicable to hydrosols made from flowers.
How is a hydrosol actually created? Through steam or water vapor distillation in a distillation column or apparatus. The aim of distillation is to produce essential oil, which is not the only result of the entire process. As a byproduct of distillation, hydrosol is indeed created.
It all begins with condensed steam that rises through the plant material during distillation. The steam cools in the condenser, changes back into water, and starts to drip into a container. The filtered water, known as distillate, contains valuable substances extracted from the plants, and essential oil settles on its surface. The oil is separated in a collecting vessel from the water, the hydrosol, for further use. Nevertheless, each hydrosol retains a certain amount of essential oil. For example, in our lavender, it is 0.072%, and in rose, it is 0.1%.
Love at first sight?
Have you not yet succumbed to the charm of hydrosols and their diverse uses? We are happy to provide you with several reasons to fall in love with them and never let them go!
They have a much gentler composition than essential oils, yet they retain similar effects. They can be used undiluted on the skin, making them suitable for children, infants, pregnant women, and allergy sufferers, for whom some essential oils are contraindicated.
Our hydrosols boast 100% pure composition without alcohol or any additives. Therefore, you can use them for almost anything and anyone.
FOR THE SKIN
- for cleansing the skin instead of facial or micellar waters, which are often full of synthetic ingredients
- for moisturizing the skin before applying further care (makeup removers, facial oils)
- for toning the skin after home cosmetic procedures (shaving, eyebrow plucking, pimple squeezing :) )
- for mixing with powdered masks
- as a spray to refresh the skin during hot days
- for caring for the scalp and hair
- as a light perfume
- against insects
FOR INTERIORS
- for gently scenting interiors
- for aromatizing bedding and clothing
- for aromatherapy (by creating a mist and subsequent inhalation)
If the above-mentioned uses did not catch your interest, we have one more up our sleeve. Hydrosols have their place in the kitchens of excellent chefs. They are particularly popular among the French, Greeks, and Oriental nations. Ice cream takes on a different dimension with the addition of hydrosol, and this applies to many other dishes as well. Try adding a bit of rose or lavender hydrosol to your coffee!
