Description
Young barley is a plant of the cultivated barley that we know from grain fields, but with the difference that for the production of dietary supplements, the green shoot measuring 20–25 cm in height is harvested. It contains the highest amount of biologically active substances and chlorophyll.
Usage and Effects
Thanks to the B vitamins, it positively affects our nervous system, while vitamin C (ascorbic acid) strengthens the body's immune defense, and vitamin E has antioxidant properties. In addition to these vitamins, young barley also contains the equally important vitamins K1, H, and D. The extract from green barley, due to its gentle processing, contains more than 20 active enzymes (cytochrome oxidase, superoxide dismutase, transhydrogenase, and others), chlorophyll, vitamins, and a perfect selection of minerals and trace elements in a well-utilizable quality.
