Castor oil

Description

Castor oil is derived from the seeds of the castor bean plant, has a light yellow color and a thicker consistency. It is rich in vitamin E, unsaturated fatty acids, and ricinoleic acid, which is found only in this oil. It is not without reason that it is often referred to as the elixir of beauty.

Effects and Use

Castor oil has strong moisturizing, regenerating, softening, soothing, healing, hydrating, antioxidant, and antifungal properties. It does not clog pores, promotes the growth of eyebrows, eyelashes, and nails, and helps in the fight against warts. It is suitable for all skin types, including very dry, allergic, irritated, acne-prone skin, and scalp with dandruff. Due to its thick consistency, castor oil does not absorb very well on its own, so it is advisable to dilute it with other oils. Caution: when taken internally, it has strong laxative effects.
