Nature for Beautiful Tattoos

Are you one of those people who remain completely indifferent to phrases like "until death do us part" and face long-term commitments with your head held high? Then you may have also fallen under the spell of tattooing! Do you think that tattoos and natural cosmetics don't go hand in hand? Allow yourself to be surprised by the great news that it's actually the opposite!

Nature for Beautiful Tattoos

Why Care for a New Tattoo?

The skin is usually covered with a film after tattooing, and care begins only after some time (according to your tattoo artist's specific recommendations). This care mainly involves gentle cleansing of the irritated skin to prevent bacteria from entering or causing inflammation, which could lead to fading or blurring of the color. It also supports proper skin healing.

Tattoo studios often offer their own tested kits, which consist of protective cream and antibacterial soap. These products can also be found at pharmacies, but they are usually non-natural products that may contain irritating substances.

Effective Natural Care

Caring for a tattoo with natural products is easier than it may seem! For gentle cleansing, try the After Tattoo solid soap with nourishing oils and antibacterial properties, which you can also use in various other ways afterwards. For protective care, simply choose quality shea butter, or even better, our Miracle Balm and SOS Balm. Both contain caring oils and herbal macerates known for their soothing and antibacterial effects. This combo will create the best conditions for your tattoo to successfully peel into the desired form.

Guidelines for Proper Healing

  1. Wash your hands
Given the current situation, this may be a bit of a cliché, but! Damaged skin is very sensitive and prone to infections, so always have clean hands when handling it, and use a clean towel, paper towel, or let the tattoo air dry. Gently wash the tattooed area with natural antibacterial soap at least twice a day.

  2. Keep your urges in check
Immediately after tattooing, you will feel burning and increased skin sensitivity, followed by tightness and subsequent itching in the following days. All these accompanying phenomena are part of the tattooing process, so bear with it and let it run its course. If you "help" the healing process by scratching or picking at scabs, the color may unnecessarily fade, and you may need a touch-up, which is not always included in the price. If the itching is unbearable, gently pat the area.

  3. Take your tattoo seriously
Follow your tattoo artist's instructions and protect your new artwork from mechanical damage in the first few days. Fresh tattoos do not fare well in long baths, especially in public pools. It is also not advisable to expose it to direct sunlight for at least two weeks. If you notice something is wrong (the area becomes inflamed, remains red for too long, is very painful, etc.), immediately contact your tattoo artist, who should check the tattoo and possibly recommend a visit to a dermatologist.

Properly chosen natural products will protect not only your new tattoo but also your skin, nature, and likely the contents of your wallet!
