Squalane

Description

Squalane is derived from the natural substance squalene, which is most commonly extracted from olive or other plant oils, but is also naturally present in the human body. Squalane has the same properties as squalene, but is more stable and lasts longer. These names are sometimes mistakenly interchanged. Squalane is very lightweight and helps other active ingredients to spread better and be absorbed into the skin. Its composition is very similar to that of sebum.

Effects and Use

Olive squalane has antioxidant, moisturizing, antibacterial, and softening properties. It helps protect the skin from external influences and sun exposure. With regular use, squalane restores skin elasticity and helps reduce wrinkles. It does not clog pores and does not irritate the skin. It is suitable for all skin types, including dry, sensitive, and acne-prone skin, where it regulates excessive sebum production.
