Silky Body | Lavender
Vegan whipped body butter with lavender scent
If you loved our first butter Silky Body (now Silky Body Original), you will be delighted with its new variant featuring the same great formula, but this time with a captivating lavender scent!
It contains plant oils and butters – organic shea butter, cold-pressed apricot oil, cocoa butter, and organic fair trade coconut oil, which will leave your skin velvety smooth, supple, and nourished after use. Additionally, it is enriched with herbal macerate in sunflower oil – rose, plantain, lavender, and marigold, known for their caring and regenerative properties. The composition is complemented by the wonderful and not so common in body cosmetics olive squalane, which hydrates the skin, protects against external influences, and provides antioxidant effects. The beautiful scent of the butter is enhanced by lavender essential oil.
The butter has a lighter texture due to whipping, making it easier to spread and absorb into the skin. Thanks to this production method, we did not need to add beeswax to the butter, making it suitable for vegans.
Warning: The butter contains no hardeners or waxes, it is very lightweight and does not feel greasy. Therefore, it is also sensitive to higher temperatures. We recommend storing it in the refrigerator or in a cool place.

Description
Shea butter is a fat obtained from the fruit (nuts) of the shea tree, and if not deodorized, it has a pleasant nutty aroma. It can be nearly white, yellow, or even light brown in color, and its consistency is influenced by the surrounding temperature (it melts at temperatures around 40 degrees Celsius). It contains saturated fatty acids – mainly stearic and oleic acids, vitamin E, triterpene alcohols, and plant sterols.

Cocoa butter is a key ingredient in chocolate production and a highly popular component in natural cosmetics. This plant fat is derived from the nuts (cocoa beans) of the cacao tree and is rich in vitamin E. Cocoa butter is quite solid, so it is often combined with softer plant butters.

Description
Squalane is derived from the natural substance squalene, which is most commonly extracted from olive or other plant oils, but is also naturally present in the human body. Squalane has the same properties as squalene, but is more stable and lasts longer. These names are sometimes mistakenly interchanged. Squalane is very lightweight and helps other active ingredients to spread better and be absorbed into the skin. Its composition is very similar to that of sebum.

If you immediately think of long fields of purple in Provence, you are right! The richly branched shrub with small purple flowers and narrow lance-shaped leaves with a sharp aromatic scent originates from the Mediterranean, but you can already find lavender fields here in South Moravia as well. Lavender is very popular due to its beautiful fragrance and wide range of healing effects, making its way into our gardens or balcony boxes. It mainly contains essential oils and tannins.
Blooming period: July, August.

Maceration, or steeping, is a process through which active substances and fragrances contained in herbs (or other ingredients) are released directly into a carrier medium, which can be:
- oil – a macerate is created, the steeping occurs cold in a closed container for a minimum of 3 weeks,
- alcohol – a tincture is produced, most commonly used in herbal medicine,
- water – an infusion is created, or in the case of heating, which accelerates the maceration process, it is a decoction.
These resulting products can be used either alone or as an additive. At Almara Soap, herbal macerates and decoctions are utilized in the preparation of some natural soaps and cosmetics. This process ensures that the final product contains the maximum amount of active ingredients, which transfer directly from the carefully selected herbs.
