Time for a new tattoo!

The sun is losing its strength, and we slowly start sorting our wardrobes, pulling out clothes with long sleeves and pants. We all know what that means! The change of season is upon us, but more importantly, it’s the perfect time to get a new tattoo. We’re talking about real ink under the skin, not a temporary design from kids' gum, so put that back in the drawer with treats and hurry to the tattoo artist!

Time for a new tattoo!

Why Now?

New artwork doesn't like the sun, excessive splashing in water, and requires the most hygienic conditions for safe recovery. The summer months do not align with these needs. After all, we roast in the sun longer than vegetables on the grill, and then we "finish off" in a water bath. So, if you're planning on getting a delicate tattoo, or if you want to transform entirely into a being tattooed from head to toe, your best friends become autumn and winter, which are just calling for fresh ink.

A Guide to Perfect Healing!

Let's take a look at the most common principles to ensure that your tattoo emerges in the desired form without any unpleasant infectious manifestations.

  • Don’t underestimate hand washing; wash them thoroughly whenever you handle the tattoo!
  • Remove the film/bandage no later than 12 hours after the procedure.
  • After removing the film, wash the skin with soap and dry it with a paper towel.
  • Then use a caring balm that promotes healing and creates a thin protective layer.
  • Do not scratch or rub! Control your urges and resist any itching to prevent scabs from coming off and disrupting the design.
  • Repeat the washing and moisturizing process several times a day until fully healed.
  • New tattoos heal within three to four weeks. Follow your tattoo artist's instructions and contact them immediately if complications arise.

Avoid:

  • excessive exposure to direct sunlight and saunas
  • swimming in the sea, pools, reservoirs, etc.
  • long baths and showers
  • strenuous physical activities
  • Framykoin and ointments with corticosteroids
  • tight clothing
  • shaving in the tattoo area
  • alcohol on the day of the tattoo and the day after :)
