Hand Scrub | Grapefruit & Lavender
Hand scrub with a refreshing scent of grapefruit, rosemary, and lavender
The hand scrub is a complement to our successful collection of exfoliating products. It is completely natural, free from preservatives, silicones, parabens, or any other synthetic ingredients, yet it is perfectly effective.
In its development, we primarily focused on the hands of gardeners, athletes, and anyone who works manually. The skin on your hands also deserves regular exfoliation. Only then can it get rid of rough skin on the joints, bends of the fingers, and palms.
The hand scrub should not sting, which is why it contains sugar cane, ground walnut shells, and lavender flowers as the main exfoliating ingredients, without any salt or other harsh components. Additionally, it is enriched with nourishing butters and oils (organic unrefined shea butter, coconut oil, plant-based glycerin, and sunflower oil) that leave a pleasant feeling on the hands and nourish them.
The scrub has a beautifully fresh scent from a blend of essential oils (grapefruit, rosemary, lavender), which also help to cleanse and have antibacterial properties.
We recommend using the scrub at least once a week or as needed. After use, we suggest applying a balm or hand cream.

You ask
Maceration, or steeping, is a process through which active substances and fragrances contained in herbs (or other ingredients) are released directly into a carrier medium, which can be:
- oil – a macerate is created, the steeping occurs cold in a closed container for a minimum of 3 weeks,
- alcohol – a tincture is produced, most commonly used in herbal medicine,
- water – an infusion is created, or in the case of heating, which accelerates the maceration process, it is a decoction.
These resulting products can be used either alone or as an additive. At Almara Soap, herbal macerates and decoctions are utilized in the preparation of some natural soaps and cosmetics. This process ensures that the final product contains the maximum amount of active ingredients, which transfer directly from the carefully selected herbs.
