The caring body oil with fragrant essences, essential for outdoor stays, will accompany you from spring to autumn anywhere in nature - whether on a trip, a picnic in the park, while camping, by the water, or in the mountains.

A blend of essential oils (eucalyptus citriodora, citronella, lavender, peppermint, sage, thyme) has a delightful aroma for us humans, uplifting and enhancing the outdoor experience. However, it is not appealing to insects, helping to ward off pesky mosquitoes and ticks. The oil contains poppy and sunflower oils, which are light, easily absorbed, and do not leave a greasy film. It does not irritate the skin and contains no synthetic ingredients or alcohol.

Usage: Shake well and apply to the skin; for longer stays in nature, reapply approximately every 3 hours.

Citronella

Description

Cymbopogon is a genus of Asian, African, Australian, and tropical island plants from the Poaceae family.

Citronella grass (Cymbopogon nardus and Cymbopogon winterianus) can grow up to about 2 meters and has purplish-colored base stems. From these species, citronella oil is produced, which is used as a repellent (especially against mosquitoes and houseflies), in insect sprays and candles, and in aromatherapy. The main chemical components of citronella, geraniol and citronellol, are antiseptics, and therefore are used in disinfectants and household soaps.

The scent of the essential oil is similar to lemon balm.

If you immediately think of long fields of purple in Provence, you are right! The richly branched shrub with small purple flowers and narrow lance-shaped leaves with a sharp aromatic scent originates from the Mediterranean, but you can already find lavender fields here in South Moravia as well. Lavender is very popular due to its beautiful fragrance and wide range of healing effects, making its way into our gardens or balcony boxes. It mainly contains essential oils and tannins.

Blooming period: July, August.

Peppermint is a strongly aromatic perennial herb from the mint family (Lamiaceae). Peppermint has a strong sweet scent and a warm, pungent taste with a cooling flavor. The leaves are typically used fresh as a culinary herb, while the flowers are dried and used to flavor confections, desserts, beverages, salads, and other foods. Its essential oil is also widely used as an aroma. The plant is a hybrid of water mint (Mentha aquatica) and spearmint (M. spicata) and is cultivated in Europe, Asia, and North America.

Sage

Description

Common sage is a one-meter tall plant with purple flowers, oval, woolly leaves with a silver tint, and a strong calming scent. Even Saxana knew of its breathtaking effects when she was looking for "grandmother's ear," and our ancestors had gardens full of healing sage. The very name is derived from the Latin word "salvare," which means to save or heal. Its leaves are best harvested just before blooming on a sunny midday when they contain the highest amount of essential oils. The leaves contain essential oils with compounds such as thujone, salvial, and cineole, as well as tannins, oxyterpenic acids, saponins, bitters, resins, B vitamins, and mineral and hormonally active substances.

Blooming period: June, July. Leaf harvesting: just before flowering.
